Vacation Classes

I have joined forces with Domaine de Mourchon and offer a five night stay with cooking classes on site at the mas. What could be better?!

At Mas de Mourchon, you can enjoy the beauty of the domaine, and let it inspire you to create equally beautiful food. During your 5 night stay at the mas, our schedule is as follows;

Courtyard at Mas de Mourchon

Your arrival on Saturday afternoon (4pm) is yours to settle in, explore, relax by the pool, or walk in the hills.

Sunday evening we will gather for apéro dinatoire, a shared moment to meet one another, discuss the planning, prepare for the coming days’ class time, and enjoy some delicious food and wine to set the tone for our days to come.

Monday will begin with our fresh, seasonal buffet breakfast. We then transition into cooking mode and prepare our leisurely mid-afternoon lunch. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the region. Recommendations for places to visit, wine tasting possibilities, restaurant reservations, etc. will be provided. Or stay close to home and play a game of tennis, take a dip in the pool, have a picnic dinner amongst the vines with a nice bottle of Mourchon wine…

Tuesday morning we will visit the market in Vaison-la-Romaine. This market has existed for more than half a millennium, and is one of the oldest and most lively markets in Provence, with an amazing array of local food producers, plants and flowers, clothing and quality souvenirs. Our market visit will be followed by a light lunch, and our first cooking class, preparing our early evening meal

Wednesday is a free day, giving you the opportunity to relax, refresh, and sample one of the many excellent restaurants in the area.

Thursday will begin with our fresh, seasonal buffet breakfast, followed by the cooking class, preparing our leisurely mid-afternoon lunch. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the region.

Friday begins with our usual breakfast. We will then have a guided tour of the domaine, followed by a wine tasting in the caveau. After a light lunch, we will return to the mas for our final cooking class, followed by an evening meal.

Saturday morning farewell breakfast, and we wish you well on your onward journey

Each meal will feature local, mainly organic, and seasonal ingredients. We will prepare four course meals comprised of a starter, main course, selection of cheeses with salad, and dessert. With each meal, wines of the Côte du Rhone region or from farther afield will be specifically chosen to pair with the day’s menu
