Private Classes

Private classes are tailored to your individual needs.

When developing the schedule for private classes, we discuss what you want to get out of the experience, fears to overcome, new influences to explore, and create a plan. The classes take place in your home (or home away from home), and can be from 3 to 5 days of classes, wine tastings, market visits, and eating! Whether you are interested in traditional Mediterranean cuisine, fusion, vegetarian, or artisanal bread baking, in consultation, we can create an event that will provide you with new knowledge, confidence, and inspiration in the kitchen.

Example of a 3 day schedule:

Day 1  involves cooking for that day’s meal, preparation elements for the following day (for example, marinating or brining meats, bread that requires 2 day processes, ice cream to chill overnight before churning, etc)

Day 2 wine tour and tasting at a domaine, with picnic lunch on site. Return to the house for cooking and preparation of elements for the following day

Day 3 preparation for that evening’s 4 course dinner party for you and your guests, up to 8 people. Eat and enjoy.

In the week before class, we meet at your home and discuss the details, cover any questions, and evaluate the kitchen to determine if I need to provide any tools to aid our cooking experience.

Each meal will feature local, mainly organic, and seasonal ingredients. We will prepare four course meals comprised of a starter, main course, selection of cheeses with salad, and dessert. With each meal, wines of the Côte du Rhone region or from farther afield will be specifically chosen to pair with the day’s menu
